Today was actually a leisure day for me. I find it funny how right before you get out of bed, you see how your day is supposed to go. But before you can even put one foot on the ground, you two year old has already dictated what your first task will be.
I am a very organized person, in my head. But if my day doesn't go the way I see it in my head, my organization goes out the window. I barley have time to read my bible in the morning. But I was able to do most of the things on list.
I want to learn to play guitar, not guitar hero but an actual guitar. I had the time today to look up how to play guitar on my computer while I drank my usual latte. I was happy to have a little time to myself. The kids actually got along today.
I scheduled a trip to the gym. Which angers me. I pay my membership fee so that I can go workout. Then I have to call to see if there are spots available for my children in the kids club. If not, I am so out of luck. Then, they work for about 4 hours at a time and get an hour and a half lunch break! What I don't understand is why they cannot have babysitters on call to help with an overload? But that's OK. At least they had two spots for today. I actually enjoyed watching TV while on the elliptical, but ask me tomorrow how I actually feel. :) It feels good to get back to the gym. I have now found a new love. You can call it lazy or ingenious, but putting TVs on exercise equipment is great. I didn't even think about the 300 calories I burned on the elliptical. I watched reruns of will and grace as well as part of desperate housewives. I think I could make this a regular thing.
Anyways, my point of this blog is that I have come across many different things being a mother of two children. The infant stage was different for each of them. One was colicky and the other slept until he turned 1! I have found many things that have intrigued me over the past few years. I have tried many things, some worked and others did not. But I would love to tell you about it.
Now, I'm off to make dinner. I love Martha Stewart and health magazine's recipes. Tonight is Martha's chicken burgers on wheat buns. I always add my little twist. We'll see how it turns out. Maybe I'll blog about it later
